How to Use This Community

Navigating this community is easy. Who you are and what you are interested in will determine where you want to start. You can also browse through the pages of this community by clicking on the links in the yellow bar at the top of the page.

If you are a school principal or school director, click on the module for school directors and principals. That will give you a good idea of what using ITLM in a school entails.

If you are a teacher/staff developer and would like to introduce ITLM to primary teachers then click on the primary modules. If the audience is secondary school teachers then click on the secondary modules.

If you want to know something about standards and certification ideas then click on the module with that as the topic. These initial contacts will give you a sense of what is available as a training packet.

If you are simply interested in a short training or some interactive exercises then click on the additional teaching materials, however these materials are all in Russian. English equivalents are available within the other documents.

Supporting materials include some interesting and beautiful power point presentations, the glossary of terms, and more information about ITLM and how to use it. Once you have selected where to start it is easy to move around the site to locate other information in other modules by clicking on that module and the folders.

Welcome to the PEAKS community!

The materials that you find on this site were developed by a Central Asian Teacher Education team to train classroom teachers and school directors in the use of ITLM (interactive teaching and learning materials). These materials are organized in stand-alone modules but they can be used in a variety of combinations. The modules are in a digital format, which includes powerpoint presentations and some very fun and interesting animations. They are designed to be downloaded and used as is, or with your own additons. We urge you to make use of these materials and join our community. Please post questions and ideas on our discussion board. Again, welcome!
